**Only wool can be cleaned with gentle soap and water.** All other materials require dry cleaning methods only.

## Cleaning by material

- **Sisal / Sisool**: dry cleaning only, no water. Hoover weekly with suction-only cleaner.
- **Seagrass**: hoover only, avoid steam. Blot spills immediately.
- **Coir**: weekly brushing or hoovering, avoid water. Blot spills immediately.
- **Jute**: strong-suction vacuum, avoid water-based cleaning methods.
- **Wool**: can be cleaned with gentle soap and water. Only natural fibre that tolerates water.
- **All materials**: never use beater bars, steam cleaners, or home cleaning chemicals. Never rub spills — blot.
- **Cleaning kit**: specially formulated £35.99 kit available for all natural fibre rugs.

## Rug sizing by room

- **Living rooms**: rug should extend at least halfway under the sofa (not just in front). Extend generously beyond furniture at both ends.
- **Dining rooms**: rug should extend at least 0.75m beyond the table on all sides so chair legs remain on the rug when pulled out.
- **Bedrooms**: extend rug back to the headboard, or place pairs of narrow rugs on either side of the bed.
- **Hallways and landings**: runners should span the full length of the passage.
- **Stairs**: professional fitting required — call a carpet fitter for quote and installation.
- **Wall-to-wall**: order at least 200mm larger than the room in each direction.
